Our Training Ethos
Methodology
We’re sales people and trainers. We do both. Our training is based on the most up to date training structures and principles such as 4MAT. Our sales methods have been tried and tested for over twenty years in all manner of environments and there are thousands of success stories. When the world changes, as it has recently, we continue to seek for innovation while keeping hold of what works.
There are thousands of corporate trainers in the world. Many have our respect for contributing to the advancement in sales and leadership talent. Not all of them are experts though. In our opinion, when choosing who to work with you should consider experience, style, industry knowledge, potential return on investment and methodology.
Experience
Tony Moyle ran his first training programme for Lloyds TSB Business Banking in November 2001. Since then he’s delivered over two thousand courses for over ten thousand delegates across three continents.
Style
“He who laughs most, learns best. People learn nothing when they’re asleep and very little when they’re bored.” John Cleese.
Our approach to training is to work hard and have fun. Creativity is encouraged and we believe learning will also come from within the group not just from the trainer. Our training is always deductive, interactive, relevant, challenging and collaborative.
Industry Knowledge
We’ve always specialised in ‘business to business’ and have a particular depth of understand in payments, logistics, banking, engineering, construction and healthcare. Whenever we work with an industry, whether we’ve worked there before or not, we always invest our own time to get to know your market. products, company, customers and competitors.
Potential Return on Investment
Identifying ROI of training has always been tricky, but it’s not impossible. There’s often many non direct benefits to training such as employee retention, motivation and performance. We always set measures for our projects using the Kirkpatrick model which monitors changes to evaluation, ability, activity and finally results. Have a look at our case studies for some examples of our successes.
It’s always about you.
A good trainer focusing on the wrong content is always going to fail to bring returns. We can deliver a wide range of events, on a host of subjects, but they have to deliver what your business needs. That’s why we spend energy upfront to get it right. Here are the steps we take to develop the best solution. In some situations we may recommend using one of our INSIGHT products to verify the challenge and build a case to sell the change to your people.
Our Training Menu
Although every solution is different, the courses we run will always be based on our understanding of key subjects and distinct delegate groups. These are the areas of knowledge, skill and habit we are most commonly engaged in.
If you’d like to know more about any of these subjects then drop us a message and we’d be happy to discuss our approach and your needs.
Training is never enough.
Real change doesn’t happen because you’ve done some training. Certainly, some of your people will immediately embrace the content and walk on their own two feet. But experience tells us this is rare. Most people will have good intentions to change, but humans very quickly return to what they’ve always done - even when they recognise there are better ways of doing it. This isn’t a surprise. Most of us act the same. We need support to avoid stumbling.
To encourage the learning process other activities have to be in place to remind people of those good intentions and stimulate repetition. At In-Sell we believe passionately in the implementation process. That’s where the real value is and we can affect it in many ways.
Refreshers sessions. Best practise guides. Video examples. Social media groups. Coaching. Teleconference surgeries. White papers. Online resources. Telephone support. Team meetings. Learning Logs.
But, most of all, your support of the process will define the level of change your teams achieve. So we’ll be supporting leaders just as much.
